A Charleston native, Daphne earned her degree from the Edmund Morgan School of Neuromuscular & Massage Therapy in 2008. A reflective and tenacious person by nature, she first opened The Great Escape Spa Therapy in 2010 and later launched Massage Charleston in 2013 — a private practice specializing in deep tissue, neuromuscular massage, trigger point therapy, and sports rehabilitation.
Her years of experience include working for the Edmund Morgan School, serving at world-class destinations such as The Spa at The Sanctuary and The Spa at Pebble Beach, and collaborating with chiropractors and holistic health providers across the region. She has supported events such as the South Eastern CrossFit Competition (Integrity’s Revenge), MUSC’s Boot Camp Program, and she served as the official massage therapist for the Charleston Stingrays hockey team.
Daphne’s approach blends clinical precision with a compassionate touch. She believes in treating the root causes of muscular dysfunction and empowering clients to take an active role in their health. Her work is guided by a proactive, rather than reactive, view of wellness.
After years of building Massage Charleston, Daphne saw a need for an elevated co-working environment — one designed specifically for wellness professionals. Wappoo Wellness provides independent practitioners with the space, resources, and community to flourish while serving their clients.
Here, every tenant operates independently, yet all share the same foundation: professionalism, integrity, and a shared commitment to helping others feel their best.
